A new a-la-carte menu has been introduced at BBQ’D on popular demand. It features dishes from MIP – ‘Made in Punjab’ restaurant which comes under the umbrella of Massive Group headed by the charismatic restaurateur Zorawar Kalra. BBQ’D is ideal for casual dining. It is located at the second level in Concorde Block at UB City, one of the most luxurious spaces in Bengaluru.
Among the street style specialities, one can opt for the Papdi Chaat to start with. One could follow that with Palak Patta Chaat, made up of crisp spinach leaves topped with the perfect blend of yoghurt, tamarind, mustard and mint chutney.
In beverages, Hadwana Shikhanjeevi, made up of fresh water melon and Orange Delight, made with tangy oranges top the charts. In vegetarian starters, Bhatti Paneer is soft, well-marinated and tastes well with pickled onion. The preparation of the Tandoori Mushroom Tikka is unique. The delectable Malai Brocolli is a must try.
Non-vegetarian starters are spot-on. It is difficult to pick a favorite. BBQ’D Bhatti chicken is flavorful to the say the least. Legacy Tandoori Champ (Mutton) is the highlight. LOL, leg of lamb is cooked perfectly. For main course, Luxury Butter Chicken tastes best with Methi Laccha Paratha.
Gucchi Pulao is undoubtedly one of the best vegetarian pulao. Gucchi or Morel Mushroom is cooked perfectly with the fine grains of rice. For desserts, Nukkad Jalebi is the best bet. It comes loaded with Rabdi. The sweetness is well-balanced.
Chef Mahabir does a brilliant job. The generous portions are a plus. The staff is polite and courteous. It was overall a pleasant experience. I would recommend BBQ’D. I can’t wait to visit BBQ’D again for my dose of authentic North Indian delicacies.
